Connecting our Mountain Communities Through the Arts
PCAO unites artists, organizations, and neighbors to spark creativity, connection, and new opportunities across the region.

Celebrate the season with PCAO at Kris Kindle Market, a mountain holiday gathering inspired by the warmth and tradition of European Christmas markets. Artists and makers, performances, food, music, creative experiences, and holiday traditions come together for a festive community celebration in Conifer. More than a market, Kris Kindle offers a glimpse of what PCAO hopes to create throughout the year: opportunities to discover local artists, experience something new, make something of your own, and connect with the people who call these mountains home.

Why We Exist
Art does more than fill a gallery or light up a stage. It invites us to understand ourselves, see through new eyes, and build deeper connections with our neighbors.
PCAO exists to foster these moments across our mountain communities. Rather than doing it all ourselves, we support the artists, educators, creative spaces, and organizations already at work, while helping build what’s needed most.
Our Vision
These ideas shape the kinds of opportunities PCAO wants to cultivate throughout our mountain community. Some are already taking shape. Others represent where we are headed as our partnerships, programs, and resources grow.
CREATE
Make, experiment, express yourself, and discover what you're capable of.
EXPERIENCE
Encounter performances, exhibitions, artists, traditions, food, music, dance, stories, and cultures that broaden our world.
CONNECT
Build relationships between people, artists, organizations, schools, cultures, and the broader community.
Taking shape now: partnerships with artists, schools, arts organizations, and community organizations throughout the mountain corridor.
BELONG
Feel welcome, represented, and able to participate.
Already part of our foundation: scholarship and community outreach efforts designed to make creative participation more accessible.
The Mountain Corridor
Over 45,000 residents call our mountain corridor home. While Evergreen enjoys a well-established arts scene for its 24,600 locals, neighboring Conifer, Bailey, and Pine house another 20,400 people who face a significant gap in creative resources. PCAO works passionately to bridge that divide, ensuring every town in our shared region has vibrant, local access to the arts.
Help Build the Cultural Heart of our
Mountain Community.
Our mountain communities are full of artists, families, educators, makers, performers, and people looking for more ways to create, experience, connect, and belong. What we don't yet have is enough cultural infrastructure to bring all of that together. PCAO is helping build that foundation. Rooted in Conifer, Bailey and Pine, while welcoming and connecting artists and audiences from across the surrounding mountain and foothills communities.
